Hello, My name is Ms. Janet and I enjoy teaching in the 1’s class at Providence Preschool.
This coming year will be my 15th year teaching the 1’s class at Providence and my 19th year teaching PreSchool.
It is my labor of love.
My husband, John and I have been married for 29 years. Our daughter Jenna who is our pride and joy is a senior at UNCC. We are members at First Baptist Church Charlotte.
I am so thrilled to be spending time with your sweet little “one”. I have been praying for our time together to allow your little one to begin to feel a love for school and learning that will increase every year while building self confidence and gaining the knowledge of how wonderfully they are made and that they are the very apple of God’s eye.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this precious season in their lives. It’s a gift to me.
I always look forward to getting to know you and all of our new friends.
To begin, our class will spend time getting comfortable with each other while adjusting to our new schedules. We will be using “The Beginner’s Bible” for preschoolers Curriculum. We will engage in the Bible stories through hands on learning, music and play.
I will be sharing our daily schedule with you also. Sometimes it needs a little tweaking as we get into our routine and learn the dynamics of our own special class. Also, this gives me plenty of flexibility for lots of comforting when needed. However, I do find that when we are following a schedule it helps even the “littles” feel more comfortable in knowing what comes next in our day.
As your child’s teacher please know you are always welcome to contact me anytime and I am always open for ways to help you and your little one adjust to your new school schedule. Looking forward to a great year!

My name is Beth and this will be my fourth year working at the preschool. My first year was in the office and I loved every minute of it! I got to know a lot of little ones in all of the age groups. I retired from Atrium Health after 30 years and decided I didn't like being idle. Preschool is the perfect fit for me as I have always loved the little ones. I have two beautiful grandkids myself. I look forward to all the wonderful kids in my class this year.
Hello, my name is Tammy. This is my third year teaching at Providence Preschool. I am so excited to have the opportunity to get to know all of you and your precious little ones. I have been married for 45 years and have 2 sons. I also have 2 precious grandsons. I worked in corporate world for many years before finding my love of teaching preschoolers while taking care of my grandkids. It is a blessing to watch the children learn and grow.
Hello, my name is Julie. I am thrilled to be teaching our three year old class. I am happily married with two wonderful children. This is my second year at Providence Preschool, I have over 10 years of experience in childcare and teaching, with a particular focus on Christian principles. I have dedicated my career to helping young children develop a solid foundation in their faith, while also nurturing their curiosity, creativity, and love for learning. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with the education and care of your child. I believe that every child is a unique individual, created with their own set of strengths and talents. My goal as a teacher is to create a safe and nurturing environment where each child can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.
It is such a blessing to spend my days with the children at Providence Preschool. I have a degree in Elementary Education from UNCC. After college I taught Kindergarten before taking some time off to be home with my kids. As my kids got older I missed being in the classroom and joined the Providence Preschool team. The 4's class holds a special place in my heart. I strive to create a fun environment where the children can learn through play and work on important social skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. I believe that God has created each child to be unique and I love to see their personalities shine through.
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17
